Therapy for low self-esteem
Build self-esteem & confidence even if your life looks fine
UKCP registered Psychotherapist with 15 years experience helping people who feel stuck understand themselves and feel better.
If I had to guess five thoughts you’ve had about yourself recently, they’d probably be:
It’s not that big of a deal, why can’t I just forget it?
Why do I manage fine at work and yet still feel bad bad about myself?
Why do relationships feel hard?
My life looks good on paper, so why isn’t it enough?
Why can’t I just be happy?
If these sound familiar, you’re not alone.
You’re probably looking at this the wrong way, and that’s not your fault.
Other people seem to find life less complicated
On paper, your life looks great. In reality, low self-esteem, perfectionism and self criticism make everything feel harder than it should. Relationships feel complicated. You’re told you overreact to minor things or don’t share enough, yet you’re not sure how to talk about feelings, or even if you’re really feeling anything at all.
You’ve always prided yourself on pushing through: optimizing your schedule, exercise, and routines. You’ve tried meditation, cold plunges, podcasts, and self-help. All kinda helpful, but the relief is temporary. Something deeper remains unresolved.
It’s not your intellect that’s tripping you up, it’s your feelings
You’re not sure if you have any feelings? That’s pretty normal. And it kind of proves my point.
Because not knowing what you feel is like trying to find your way around without Google Maps. You won’t know what you like, what you don’t like, what you want more of and which things (and people) you really need to avoid.
That place in your head where you stick everything you don’t want to deal with?
Let’s just say, it’s not as secure as you think. Your past is leaking into your present like the Upside Down in Hawkins, Indiana.
I can help, even if previous therapy didn’t
If previous therapy felt cathartic but aimless, you just haven’t found the right approach yet.
With 15 years’ experience helping adults unpick why they feel bad about themselves and how to change this, I give clear guidance on where you’re getting stuck, outline a process, teach the steps to change behaviour, and troubleshoot the areas holding you back.
